Why Ivydale?

Personalized Service

Our mission is to treat all residents as if they were our own grandparents. Caregivers are  employed because they love their work and consider it a privilege to provide assistance to those who can no longer safely live alone and attend to their activities of daily living.

We believe God has called us to this service and opened the door of opportunity to serve Him by helping to meet the needs of the elderly in our community. We believe good health involves the heart, mind, and body. We serve the heart through opening our doors to ministry. We covet the prayers of friends and strangers alike. We pray for our residents daily.

We serve the mind by using research-based brain gym activities that stimulate blood flow and aid in memory retention.  Brain games, yoga and brain gym movements are used to stimulate the brain in a fun way.

We serve the body with both diet and exercise. A menu low in sugar and fat helps residents achieve and maintain a healthy body, while daily opportunities to exercise help maintain ambulation and balance.

We encourage independence in each of the activities of daily living; yet, we offer assistance
where needed. Each resident is assessed and goals set with family input. Individualized attention is given to preserve the dignity of each resident. The health and wellness of our residents is our primary goal.

Needing assistance with activities of daily living makes this population very vulnerable. Remember to advocate for quality care alternatives and adequate funding for this sector of our population. They have truly earned the right to live in an environment where they are happy, safe, and stimulated.
